HDLoader and HD Advance on G4TechTV

Anyone else here see feature on HDLoader and HDAdvanced on The Screen Savers today on G4TechTV? Robert Heron quickly showed off how to install a hdd and how to backup your game with hdadvance. I'm thinking this little national spotlight will boost up the sales once again...

Well, another TSS fan!! Yeah, I saw the show today. I think it's great that they show stuff like that on the show - especially on network TV. Did you see how many games he had stacked up on the table? Wicked....

Yup... been a TSS fan for a while now. Even after Leo, Patrick, and all of the other regulars from the past left. It was TSS that helped push me over to get an XBOX when they did the xbox hacking week over a year ago. Hopefully when the homebrew scene for the ps2 matures a bit more they can do a similar set of how-tos.

just bc i have a site devoted to helping ppl get the media player up and running does not mean that i follow and agree with all the things they do.

There are too many lies, misconceptions, and made up things floating around them, and the ps2scene, that it would be crazy to believe any of it, nor deny it. The shit you sometimes post on the frontpage of the site is completely unbiased and unneeded in the ps2 scene. Your just adding to it.

Instead of always hating on them, why not appreciate the work they did on the media player, ps2vfs, and mcloader (mcloader v2.0 is comming soon) instead of focusing on rumors, and the past. Looking back will never get this scene anywhere.

And I know that this scene will never be fixed, so its up to the upcoming ps3 scene to start off on a good leg.

Proven yet again. PS2OWNZ staff is a bunch of assholes. I posted this same info on their site to HELP advertise HD Advance for them and let them know it was on a national show and could possibly help in sales... and what do they do? They ban me?!?! I even left out the HD Loader part so it would meet their gay ass rules. What a bunch of ****ing losers. I'm fed up with these low lifes. I sat back and let them be with their misinformation and attempts at squeezing more $ out of regular users before but not now. Time to see if my old contacts at the old TechTV are now with G4TechTV to see if they can do something about their posted article. I'd hate to see such a great network and show inadvertantly help promote a site/group that do not want to show any appreciation for FREE positive advertisement on a product that they blatantly ripped off. Hey at least the article says HD Advanced is a "supposed copycat". Even the mainstream folks can see that.

Im actually very surprised that they posted about hdadvance, pretty lame of g4techtv to talk about such blatantly stolen property like that. their editorial Extremely stupid, Irresponsible and shows they have no grasp of the real hdloader situation. They even claimed that the site has been resurrected, i cant believe they didnt notice the lack of the .com in the hdloader url they posted. Sounded like grade school kids wrote the scenario first paragraph. Unbelievable.

As far as the segment/article, you can tell it was just another quick 10minute filler. They didn't go into detail and is pretty much all of the info you can find on a quick google search. But then again, the same goes with the XBOX hacks they showed a while back. Its just a way to wet their audiences appetite so they can go and find out more about it themselves. It definitely sounded from the episode that Rober Heron kinda read about the whole HD Advance vs HD Loader thing but didn't know about the real history of it or just didnt want to get into the whole thing.

Thats funny, you say that here but you talk completely different on their site.
There are too many lies and misconceptions especially when it comes to the ps2reality team. You believe anything they tell you as if you were a zombie. You want the facts? here goes.

The DMS team offered them 3 thousand USD to simply load bios modules MCMAN and SIO2MAN (which they were already loading i might add) and to mention the player is dms compatible. THATS IT.

They refused and added anti dms protections and encryptions to their player(this is illegal, they were forced to remove this by a notice sent to them by the creators of FFMPEG).so here comes R18. R18 is none other than some of Hermes' old friends at paradox! Evidentally they were pissed that hermes left them high and dry and so they got their revenge. Of course they wanted to blame me for everything since i was the one who introduced them to the dms team so they claimed i was R-18.

Once they noticed how popular dev mode was, they decide to rip the dms explorer and create their own app called mcloader. They didnt create mcloader as benevolent people, they did it out of spite. Of course your one of their zombies, you believe all that crap they tell you without question. None of those guys have done anything to even remotely get any thanks from anyone in the scene. They did all of that out of self preservation and spite towards others.

All of this doesnt even include countless License violations and code stealing from homebrew devrs including mrbrown and drakonite. Simply put they either agreed to give origa code that wasnt theirs or they sold it. UMCDR dev was stopped because of this. Even someone like you can see that.

As for my "Unbiased" postings. i think you mean biased but yeah they are indeed biased. They are always against those that are anti scene. People like you think its starting a fight. I think of people like you as stupid, complacent idiots. You want a peaceful scene but you dont want any part of driving out the unpeaceful. You and the rest of the PS2R just dont get it, they are the ones actually feeding you the lies and your sucking them up hook line and sinker. If you dont like it here then just DONT COME BACK. Go to ownz or ps2reality where zombie fanboys like you belong.

I think now would be a great time to unofficially announce the new mediaplayer coming soon. It will do way more than the ps2R player and be completely open source. Im sure it will have many fanboys like you but at least they will have their own brains.
