Well what the hell, lets make a list of games that do and dont work with the HDloader... Heres my list.. Feel free to add on!...

Here are some games that work and dont work with
HDLoader for PS2

NOTE: Games that have HDD support proubley wont work.
Games that are DVD-9 are knowin not to work also.
Press "Select" on the game after it has been
installed to configure the "Mode" setting if needed.
(*)=no modes needs to be enabled

(please list the modes that you used for the games)

Dead or alive hardcore usa dvd rip

These above games report "disc error", "fatal error" in HDLoader.
The medias they're on are absolutely mint so it's not a problem related to the discs being unreadable. I went so far as to reburn some of them and the same error shows up. Of course, they play perfectly without using HDLoader.

Um Alcahest can you please post what modes you used... Thanx man!.. Sure am glade Ace combat works.. Didnt know if it did or not sents I cant test it.. I only have 2gigs to work with... Plus has anyone got Hotshots Golf 3 to work... I know it can work I just cant seem to find the right mode(s) to use.. Im sure I tryed and combind them all.. It just wont work for me... Thanx agian...

Hmm there is something weird with :

Xenosaga Freaks DVD Jap.
It installs OK, boots OK, but if I chose the "encyclopedia" option (3rd option from the top), then it stalls to a black screen.
I've tried all 8 settings in HDLoader and they all crash when launching "Encyclopedia.
It's quite scarry because it means that while some stuffs work for one given game, there may also be stuffs that cause the same game to crash.
I thought HDLoader either worked 100% or 0% but apparently not ;_;

Also, when playing from directly from DVD, of course the problem is not there.
If you guys have Xenosaga Freaks, could you try on your system?
