HDLoader does have compatability modes?

The weirdest thing is happening with my HDLoader. I'm running the latest patched version of HDLoader, and I'm trying to play Burnout 3. That needs mode3, but when I highlight and it and press select, and game compatability screen doesnt have an option for modes. It only gives me the options to slow hdd access, soul calibur patch, kill hdloader after launbch, and a few other random options but nothing about modes. Any idea what is happening?

Hint: Try the third mode on the list, Kill HDL...
