Ok I tried it with HDLOADER.ELF that came with the MC exploit and got the error saying "Wrong version or file already patched!"
I have 160GB Maxtor and willing to try cuz I have all my games backed up on DVDs/CDs. Any ideas?

Well, it actually works. My 160G was formatted before the patch and the HDD only shows 127G. After the patch, it shows 152G without reformating. Thanks zero-x

same here. 160gig maxtor now shows as 152. you rock dude. muchas gracias.
ok a related question, can any elf be extracted to the irx and other parts?
how did u guys do this whole process, i dont have a mod chip , juss hd loader (original) and a maxtor 160 gig hd
Yeah patched it and changed the skins with HdlCngV6. Now my 160Gb HD shows up as 149 instead of 127. Everything seems to be OK although I have not reformated it yet or installed any new games. Nice work.
Now if only someone could fix that stupid "date/time stamp bug" which prevents me from saving in a few select games. It's also strange seeing all my saved games listed in the browser as saved 12/30/1999 10:00:00 AM.

So, with the patch the HDD is seen correct in size...
But, a good test is to fill the drive to the max to see if data written to the end of the HDD really is working.
Can others also confirm that formatting the drive with the patched version results in an error?
And are you getting that copyright notice when starting it?

Went to get a 160GB drive this morning so I can now test this thing myself.![]()

I have just modified WinHIIP (V1.6.2) to remove my software limit of 128Gb, this should help with trying to fill a drive up with images past the 128 boundary. I'll be patching & testing tonight using a 160Gb Hitachi.
Great work Zer0-X![]()
Actually the trick is done by M.R.Brown's atad-driver with Clement's improvements in the drive detection.![]()
