Remember that there is no source code and no documentation available on this stuff, except what they have written to sum up their impressions of the disassembled binary. It's a near-miracle that they've succeeded as well as they have with present patches. So let's NOT ask for full miracles...
(If we do get some, that's a great bonus, but lets not nag about it.)

i would like to enable support in hdloader for games that were previously incompatible and i know that hdlpatch0.7c can let me do that...however, just to be sure, all games that work with the original hdloader will also work with the patched hdloader (0.7c), if not, are there any settings i can change that will allow them to work again (in the patched hdloader)? as well, i have gran turismo 4, midnight club 3: dub edition, and god of war. correct me if im wrong, i understand that GT4 works alrite, but midnight does not (no sound or something), and god of war works ok as well. i will be getting metal gear solid substance too, and i believe that works as well. i want all these games to work with hdloader whilst untouching the compatibility of other games that used to work with the original hdloader...if this is not possible i would like to know how to get around this problem...thanks in advance!
also, say if i have a game that i needed to patch to make it work with the original hdloader and then i patch hdloader to support the original game, will it still work?
I would like to see support for PS1 games, but I know this isnt likely to be possible because the exploit uses the same area of code as ps1 games or something?
Well thats what I read somewhere anyway. Still I can always hope :P
sorry, but no that aint possible...long story, read it somewhere on the forum
"sorry, but no that aint possible...long story, read it somewhere on the forum"
your information is also available on the forum look for hd compatibility forum
"Games that work with HDLPATCH 0.6"
yes it cover latest 0.7c
does this patch covers what was discuss here? Also, does no disc meaning boot from MC directly w/o retail HDL or PS1 trigger?
I would like to now if there is a way to disable the uninstall option in hdloader.
My little brother always do a lot of mess in the HD uninstalling things, so I would like to remove it and if I need to uninstall a game I would do it in my PC with winhiip.
Any Ideas where to patch, or change the code in unpacked elf?

If you have no mod-chip, then you must boot some disc, since a normal no-mod PS2 has no other way of starting any software (other than the built-in disc/MC browser).
If you do have a mod-chip, then you may use whatever methods it allows for discless booting, and when properly patched and booted that way, HDL will then also work without needing any disc in the tray.
