i have looooong loading time with patched HDADVANCE 1.0 + launch it from hdd
after patching HDLOADER with MD5 = 39112aaffe517228033344a0cbf120a8 (search this thread)
and move it to MC - loaging time =~ 5-7sec for 200Gb HDD.
P.S. my patch cmd:
hdlpatch_0.6d /C /G /B /F /S /N /L /T5 /IS BMP\blank.bmp /IM BMP\blank.bmp ORIGHDL HDL6D.ELF
ps2-packer-0.4.exe HDL6D.ELF HDL6DMC.ELF
I just realized that over on the "other" site, they pretty much take credit for these new patches and just call it "HDAdvance"... I even posted about how a certain game works with the new patch, and they edited my post to say "Works with the latest HDAdvance release". :/
SC : PT (PAL) works with this patch without the core toxic 0.2.

it seems metal gear solid 2 substance (flattened) doesn't work unless you disable dvd9 support
Just a thought, but Toxic OS 3 seems to have found a way to massively speed up the initial HDD access (perhaps the updated ps2fs/hddlibs has something to do with it), it doesnt churn like it does with hdloader. Probably not actually scanning all the partitions headers, but who knows? Not me, thats for sure...

There's a difference at 097C00: 00000000 (new 4-in-1 patch) vs 01003126 (older 4 separate patches).
I forgot to mention above the order I applied those 4 patches:
Hmm, order matters too since, if I apply 1- hdl_dl.ips again (after 4-, 3-, 2-) I get another difference at 0AD780: F406 (new 4-in-1) vs E43D, in addition to the other difference at 097C00.
Hope all this helps
i asked around and i'm not the only guy that says the /N patch doesn't work.. just to be sure isn't only a my problem :\
