Thats right give credit. Make nice nice with sjeep and bargin for the source from him. Ps2 scene is winding down time for generosity.

that has to be the craziest and possibly outright dumbest thing i have heard here so far. You guys have no idea how sjeep is now. He only cares about money, not about the scene. He will guard the hdloader code with his life. If you think he approves of hdloader hacking your even crazier than i thought too. Somehow he feels wronged by the fact that we modify hdloader and have not only caught up with his toxic release, in some instances its surpassed his.

I personally don't care shit what the nfozers do with it. I think by now pretty much everybody not living under the rock knows where the stuff comes from.

Yes! That is the attitude to keep in mind...

They are 'beneath' our attention treshold. Not worthy of spending either thoughts or worries on, and certainly not worth performing any extra work just to adapt to their presence in the scene. It's bad enough that we occasionally have to talk about them, to explain the situation to newbs, or in discussing attitudes/policies like here. But let's keep it reasonable. Spending more effort than necessary on the topic of 'those guys' is a total waste of time.

And you other guys, who suggested extra modifications to HDL, just to 'tell off' some kudos-stealing cretins, please reconsider with the following question in mind:

Do you REALLY want Zer0-X and/or crazyc to spend their valuable time coding such nonsense, instead of working on new developments...???

    Best regards: dlanor

The installation is ok but when I start the HDLoader with L1 i got BLACK SCREEN!!!
I've never used an O2mod, so I'm not sure exactly what it can launch, but I do know that many other launchers have problems starting HDLoader directly, and will fail doing so in the way you describe. These cases include 'Matrix Infinity', 'Ripper 2 Gold', the original non-mod exploit, and probably others too. I suggest you try using LaunchELF instead, and use it to start HDLoader. That has never failed to work in any cases I've heard of.

All is fine, however, when I pack the ELF with PS2-Packer 0.2.
Like I said in my reply to laplace82, the original exploit was not able to launch ANY version of HDL, regardless of packing. You must be using the exploit version modified just to get HDL working, and since the latest PS2-Packer probably didn't exist then it wasn't adapted to its methods.

For you too, the easiest way to get fully consistent results is to install LaunchELF as your main boot ELF, since this launcher doesn't 'care' what packer version you used.

I get back from a two week vacation and you guys have pulled off some seriously sick new enhancements. Man, I should leave for longer periods of time or something-- you guys kick ass.

Thanks to everyone involved in the recent patches. My jaw dropped when I saw the new compatibility menu-- I didn't think you guys would ever be able to make that large of a change. Consider me seriously impressed.

Ahah, I bet sjeep didn't knew that a prog could be modified that far without the code... I remember the day when he said "it's impossible to allow full use of >128gb hdds"... again good job guys

    Hey All.
Just wondering if anyone knows why HDL hangs at the splash screen after i patched it with HdlPatch_0.6d... All the other patches worked fine for me... I used options /c, /b and /l ... I also tried /n but to no avail... any ideas?

    I have a V3 or 4, not sure which...

    Cheers,
    Fix

yeah i know he is only stating this kind of junk more and more now simply because he feels threatened that the hdloader patches will surpass him with some great achievement and it will leave toxic out in the cold until he catches up. You guys have to keep in mind, basically he is selling hdloader on a chip. If someone else adds these features that he has into his chip they simply wont bother with a dms4.
