5 secs? It would save me 5 mins...
well barf as you can see KaylaKaze is talking about building a wrapper for hdl

I have a 300gig hdd and it takes 2-3 minutes to load hdloader and if I install, rename, or delete I have to wait around 5-10 minutes.
Well, the code I'm working has a user created profile for each game which links to what MCImage to use, so I suppose if someone were worried about this, they could make an image that was used for about 3 or 4 (or however many they wanted) different games. It will be minimal work to make the loader check to see if the image "mounted" on the MC is the same one that you want to mount, that way it doesn't erase and rewrite the same data.

And it's designed to be run off a USB drive, not HD (though it'll be able to run off HD) so it's easy to just pop the USB into your computer and manage the data. I just have to get MASS support added to the KAPI file system.
BTW, I almost have the SaveGameFile class done which hopefully will be the most complicated part of the program (assuming I don't have to do too much tricky stuff too get the USB working or make the UI). The first version won't contain the HDLoader core execution code. It'll just launch HDloader or CDLoader (or whatever you specify for a particular game).
Also, if you know of any games (not homebrew) that use subdirectories in their save game, let me know. Adding recursion would be a major pain and I don't want to do it if I don't have to.
After I changed to HDLoader 0.8b it takes 12 secs and not 2-3 mins anymore...

Why does that make no sence?
Maybe i dont understand correctly what u asked but there's no chance in hell that the HDD can access the MC as a partition.
