Fatal Frame 1 still freezes when you bring up the menu with a V2 un-modded PS2.
This has nothing to do with dnas games it's about the transfer speed not cracking security stuffs.Originally Posted by rainrix
shadow hearts 2 is still a no go with freezing
can i
1) change offset 0x91124 on an unpacked unpatched hdl elf with this then carry out my /b /c /l (48nit) etc
2)or as it is /L (48bit) must i patch it /b /l /c ..... then change the offset 0x91214 then pack elf

Alternative 2 is the correct one, for the following reason:Originally Posted by propered
If you are going to patch HDL with 48-bit LBA, then you must do that patch first, as it completely replaces the built-in atad.irx driver. After doing that you can then patch it at locations 0x91210 (MDMA/UDMA) and 0x91214 (speed choice).

What was the problem with fatal frame? If i know maybe then it's possible to look at games with the same problem to see if they run. I tried Taito Memories (still freezes) and Midnight Club dub (still no music ingame). I changed 0x91214 (04 to 00).
Im surprised about midight club dub i thought, it would work with the fatal frame hex edit but,i think that it might work with the other hex edit called MDMA, supposaidly it is supose to slow hdloader down even more which i think might fix it, hopefullyOriginally Posted by bigdaddie
if i only had the game i would have tryed the hex edit my self it out![]()
I tried the other one (offset 0x91108 to 0x20) but no luck, no ingame music.Originally Posted by neo333
OK... I'll throw my half a cent in here....
Would it be impossible to make a second version of HDL... that would not use the current HDL Settings partition... so a second version that would have a seperate list of games.... only the ones needing this slower transfer... this way the only games it would affect would be ones needing slowed....
Several of us run more than one copy of HDL anyways... so ...
HDL 0.7c and the new HDL 0.7c "Retard" (might as well name it like they do Linux Distros)....
I don't know about the other idioms, but in portuguese, there's a little mistake inside the rename option. Where it says "Fim" should be "Eliminar" and vice-versa. When you hit "Fim" it backspaces, when "Fim" means "End".. Only stating it, dunno if anyone ever said this but I felt like contributing :P
