Yes you can.
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HALELUYA! :-pray: :-pray:
Where would i find these files? My AIM is Acuraintegra77 please AIM me.
AFAIK hdl_dump itself might work on Windows ME, but some/most features would not. For example reading of a CD-/DVD-based game and support for locally-connected PS2 HDD would certanly not. I guess you might be able to install a game from the HDD via network, but remember, that FAT16/FAT28 limit file size to 2GB.
i got winHIIP to read my game from a disc, and didnt it say that it did not support windows ME? Well i was also wondering what kind of files the HD LOADER could read(.iso, etc..) and what is the average time for your computer putting games on your HDD? I was also wondering if i hook my HDD up to my comp will it mess it up?
Although I didn't understood all of your questions, here are some basic toughts:
- whereas WinHIIP works with DOS GUIs, like Windows 9x and Windows ME, most of hdl_dump features does not;
- typical speed when installing a game to a locally connected HDD is at least 15MB/sec, but it is slower if you install from a CD-/DVD-ROM drive;
- typical speed when installing via network is 600-800KB/sec average, and is not yet clear what it depends on;
- when you hook up the PS2 HDD to your PC the "smart" Windows might ask you if you wish to "prepare the drive to be used by the Windows"; if you answer "Yes", your games are gone. Forever.
via network it can arrive at 3 mb/s it depends on compression possibility of an iso (for example if you compress a 1gig iso in winrar to 100mb if you try to dump it should go fast)
