    i looked at the config file and saw some new options in it. can someone help me by telling my what these options mean and what i should set them to to get the fastest network install. thanks

    "cdvd_auto_detect" = "no"
    "enable_aspi" = "no"
    "enable_spti" = "yes"
    "extended_compatibility" = "yes"
    "high_speed_install" = "no"
    "limit_to_28bit" = "yes"
    "partition_naming" = "toxicos"
    "server_type" = "udp"
    "target_kbps" = "2350"
    "use_compression" = "no"

    Drop your configuration file and run hdl_dumb to create a new one. I never saw some of those in my config; maybe you've used a custom version in the past (that hard-to-find Japanese one).

    it should bee change to "no", if hd is larger than 120gb...

    i did try that japanese version once.

    i deleted it and created a new one and here's what i got:

    "disc_database_file" = "C:\\Documents and Settings\\*****\\Application Data\\hdl_dump.list"
    "enable_aspi" = "no"
    "limit_to_28bit" = "yes"
    "partition_naming" = "toxicos"
    "target_kbps" = "2350"


    what do they mean? i know what "disc_database_file" means.
