I have not found a decent guide for this also...very frustrating, They just kinda brush over it like were all ps2 wizzards..very little detail.
I found This
If you find something better can you let me know.
This what I think you do but I'm not really sure..
-Make a new folder.
-Put the HDLD_SVR.ELF in there.
-Create a CONFIG.DAT file using notepad...
192.168.1.1xx 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1 MODE1
-Create a SYSTEM.CNF file using notepad...
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\HDLD_SVR.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
-Create an image using cdgenps2.exe...and burn.
Will this work?

well i cant view the link you posted, but i've burned that elf without
the config.dat and didnt work.
let's try that way and see if anything comes up.
correction:
i can see the link you posted, but now it doesnt matter because i made it workand its too simple. here“s how:
1 burn this CD provided on the post attachment
2 assign the ip in LAN adapter as 192.168.0.200 (my setting)
3 connect de cable between PC and PS2
4 run the CD on the PS2
5 run hdl_dumb and press attach
in the first experience i transfered virtua tennis 2 on cd, about 348 Mb in 10 minutes![]()

Transfering games via network connection will take very long to transfer a single game. You should just try installing the games on ur ps2 hdd within the pc internally which only take 5 mins top. hope that helps
it will take even more than ps2 dvd?
im sure it helps, but its a pain in the ass taking out the hd everytime i
want to transfer a game!!
Well I ended up getting it to work..sorry I didnt reply sooner...I had to get the program ExecFTPs.elf and add it to the FILES directory on my eploit cd then change IPCONFIG.DAT within the FILES directory to suit my needs..192.168.1.xxx 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.x
Once I had all that burned to cd and installed on memory card I could then ftp to PS2 using flash fxp..so I transfered hdld_svr.elf thru ftp..rebooted..works like a champ!
It is a slow..takes an hour to transfer an average game, but I can live with that..and I dont have to deal with hardware so I'm happy.

in my case i dont use a mc exploit or execftp its just the created cd with hdld_svr and it works nice too. the problem is the data transfer speed
Hey helltick, you used a random ip address or have to be a specific ip address. My execftp in my MC worked with the ip address i gave it. Now my isp changed ip's again which ended up screwing my execftp config.dat. since then i can't connect to my ps2 it via flashfxp anymore.
I tried changing the config.dat ip according to my isp ip again and tried connecting to it via flashfxp but still same thing. If you can show me how u got it to work, ill appreaciate it. thanks in advance
