When ExecFTP booted up
on Screen there should be a line telling which IP is your PS2's
normally if you haven't include the config file which specificly tells which IP the ExecFTP to use, it should be at default of 192.168.0.10
else... check the on screen for the exact IP
and make your connecting PC to be in the same subnet
eg. if PS2's 192.168.1.101
then Your PC: 192.168.1.x (where x ranges from 1-254)
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
also check if you're using any soft/hardware firewalls that may prevent FTP access (TCP port 21)

well I have the PS2 connected to the PC via a crossover cable and my PS2's IP is 192.168.0.10 and my PC's is 192.168.0.1 and when I connect to my Xbox's IP which is 192.168.0.2 via FlashFXP It connects with no problem...
Also HDL_Dumb connects with no problem I never changed any settings for HDL_Dumb...

Just check that 'Use Passive mode' in not checked in your FlashFXP options also that your loging as Anonymous and not putting anonymous as the username. If I could export my settings I give a copy but sadly I can't find a way to
I hope this helps if not PM me and I'll see what I can do.

i could never connect with execftps either. i can transfer games fine with hdl_dump, but if i try to connect with execftps (w/ flashfxp) i get a no listing error and never see any directories. and also, passive mode is off.
instead i have to use ps2menu if i want to transfer things to my memory card.

I've also noticed that, using cross cable, sometimes it is neccessary to have the cables plugged between PC-PS2 right before PS2 boots.
While booting into ExecFTPS...you'll see windows's "Local Area Connection" going on and off several times.
And often times if i forgot to plug them rightaway, plugging the cable after the ExecFTPs already booted...wouldn't work (could not ping)

Don't worry it's pretty messy at first but you'll get the hang of it in no time. To transfer to your mc first press your R1 button and select mc. Once you are in there press triangle to set your mc as the destination. Then press r1 again and go to the source of the files you want to copy. Select the files and press the START button and choose adv copy.

Did anyone try to format his MC ? Maybe execFTPs and others don't work because of a corrupted configuration file.
I couldn't try it yet, because obviously it takes 2 MCs to test (my lovely savegames...).
