HDL_AIO file recognition
HDL_AIO file recognition –
It appears to be an accepted fact that the unpacked hdloader.elf is 2,977,792 bytes. I have unpakced three different version myself and d/l one pre unpacked. All of them are 2,977,792 bytes, which is good I guess. But whenever I load any of them into HDL AIO it loads it i get checksum of 1826097527 and the message "File not well recognized, be careful" but on this post http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/show...&page=17&pp=15 it says I should get a message like "You have loaded original HDLoader unpacked.elf" Do I have thewrong files? I find it hard to believe that I would have several different patched version of exactly the same bytes from multiple different sources.
any help would be muh appreciated thanks.
The way the patches work mean that the file size rarely changes, so it could still be patched :o
Actully I have nnotcied that only two of the versions I have seem to have the same CRC but the others seem to have different CRC's again. So I just keep D/ling these things until I open one that says original unpatched then?

and I, too, get this error. It doesn't seem to affect the ability of AIO to successfully patch, or the ability of the patched and crunched elf to work perfectly fine.
Kind of odd though.
@digger What CRC does your file come up with?
I D/L a pre-patched HDL (0.6), but HDL AIO didn't recognise it. I still unpacked it, then used HDL AIO to patch it to NTSC, and centered the screen. Worked just fine. Should apply to other patches also...
BTW a clean HDL will show the confirmation message - I've tried it
