If you use HDL_AIO 2.5.4 or HDL Patch GUI, there should be an option for V12 fix.

As far as I know, 0.7c patched with the v12 fix will work. Dont quote me on that though since i dont have a slimmy.

    No.

This thread discusses 'HD Connect', which is an expansion kit that allows you to add an HDD to a slim PStwo, by using an IDE interface similar to that of the network adapter for 'fat' PS2s. This will not work for the latest 'slim' models though, as they lack the controller chip that is required.

The normal HDLoader can be patched so as to work with an IDE drive connected this way to a 'slim' PStwo, because interface-wise this is nearly identical with the normal interface it was designed for.

But there is absolutely no way, ever, to use the normal HDLoader with a drive connected by the USB interface. The only software available for that kind of usage is USBExtreme (USBAdvance is simply a rip-off of that program).

    Best regards: dlanor

    thx dlanor

I tested the usbextreme/advance, but it kinda let me down coz a VERY small amount of games would work with it . I saw that only 4.5% of the recent games work with it.

No. The fix in uLaunchELF is the same as the 'basic' v12 fix.

That really should be enough for any program, but I guess HDL uses some weird methods of its own (probably timing related), that gives it problems which LaunchELF never sees. The last I heard on this subject was that someone made it install properly by patching the DMA mode (which LaunchELF does NOT).

    Best regards: dlanor
