hdl elf doesnt work. lost all faith
hdl elf doesnt work. lost all faith –
I have hdl unpacked elf (2.9Mb + ps2ownz splash screen). Patched it with hdlpatcher 0.7c using this command line:
hdlpatcher /n /c? /v /l hdloader.elf hdl.elf.
I get the ok messages:
Patching no disc seek...
Patching compatibility update ... (dvd9 support G.O.W. version)
Patching v12 PSTwo support...
Patching LBA 48bit support...
Using ps2-packer version 0.2 command line:
ps2-packr hdl.elf hdl2.elf
I get about 10 lines ok messages then done!
the output file is 499kb.
I then transfer this file to the memory card via flashfxp and execftps (which is installed to crystal chip's bootmanager software). and it transfers ok. I tried making a manual script for hdl to boot thru bm's gui, but it just boots to the ps2 browser/memory card gray screen. OK no problem. I just load hdl via unofficial launch elf v3.41 and hdl loads ok. I can see a list with all the games, even the compatibility modes using select button. all is ok. when i choose a game the screen just goes BLACK. every single time. Im losing faith because i've spend HOURS trying to learn how this stuff works and it usually doesn´t. I tried changing patches and nothing. I can only load games on hdd using a fully patched hdl 0.7c cd-rom with no memory card inserted (so that bootmanager doesn't load up). Anyone please help, I tried to give all details possible for my problem. If any good programmer sees this thread please try and help me to boot hdl from memory card.
