HDL Dump problem
I've been trying to get hdl dump to work for hours to no avail... I run the hdld_svr server (tried 3 different versions), I get a "Ready" message on the ps2. Then I try to connect to it with hdl_dumb and I get a connection error message that says the connection was actively refused (or something like that).
I've had some trouble in the past with faplink, depending on what was used to run it (dms explorer does not work, ps2menu does). So I tried DMS explorer, PS2menu, LaunchElf, running it directly as BOOT.ELF. Nothing.
Other network programs like ExecFtp or FAPLink work so I guess it's not a network configuration problem. And anyway my network configuration is the default one (192.168.0.1 router, 255.255.255.0 net mask)
Any ideas ? Is there a debug mode or a verbose mode so that I can get an idea of what's happening ?
PAL v9 PS2
DMS 3 (firmware version 2.4b4)

i didn't see you mention this but -- your PS2 should have an IP of 192.168.0.10 and your router is the gateway at 192.168.0.1. if your PS2 is trying to use .1, then you have an address conflict. make sure your router's DHCP is allowing IP addresses up to .10 and beyond. i usually turn down my DHCP on my linksys from 50 dhcp users to like 15 or less. hope this helps!
I've got the same problem with hdl dump, it boots up says its all ok it is however impossible to connect to the ps2, it wont answer to ping either. The most annoying thing is that it works (sometimes) with hdl dump 0.7 later versions seems all impossible.
There are some rumors about hdld_svr.elf to conflict with some versions for DMS3 firmware.
I finally got around to downgrade my dms3 firmware from 2.4b4 to 2.2 and guess what, hdld_svr works like a charm, well atleast 8.2.
The alternative hdld_svr.elf from LordBoGaMi however, does not work.
What is wrong when this happens:
This works however and so does extract
$ hdl_dump inject_dvd 10.0.0.50 "SNES-Station disk 1" Snes-Station1_2.iso
00000002 (2): No such file or directory
Tried this from two machines, Ubuntu Breezy and MacOS X Tiger.
$ hdl_dump toc 10.0.0.50

I get the same problem barf.It works correctly with the old hdl_dump server.
EDIT: I am using the linux version 0.8.2 compiled from source.However, the same problem also happens with the windows version 0.8.3 running under wine.
Works ok with hdl_serv 0.8.1 and new hdl_dump
Wow! hdl_serv 0.8.1 and hdl_dump 0.8.1
73%, 6 min, 22 sec remaining (est.), avg 3.13 MBps, curr 3.43 MBps
I've never had a problem with any hdldump/hdl_srv versions. I'm still using the "experimental" version with improved speed, but not that new 083 since some are saying the transfered images don't run.
So this is the first i've heard that there's some problem with DMS and this app. My sig has my current setup.
