  1. #1 Question HDD problems!!
    Ownage1 Guest
Ok I have a normal computer HDD (60 gigs). Its fully compatible with the ps2 I can even hear it spinning when I turn the ps2 on(I also set it to primary master drive). I don't see my HDD on the browser tho. I think I need to reformat it to work with the ps2. I don't got the ps2 HDD format disc though. Is there any program I can download or a HDD software rip that will format my HDD to work on ps2?? Plz help!

sorry no hope, unless you have a dms3 chip, that patches any hd to show it in the browser. You need official to see it in the browser.

will it still work?? and can i still save to it. or do i have to format it to work with ps2. What about that DMS3 formater program i found on forum?

PS your sig says maxtor HD meaning its not a REAL ps2 HDD how come it works for you.

Like I said you need to have a dms3 modchip. (which enables atad-patching that allows you to use your non-sony hd as a official one) If you dont have that chip then your out of luck.

ownage what exactly are you trying to do? put games on the hd? you wont be able to see the hd on the browser unless you havethe official sony hd, have a matrix infinity modchip or a dms modchip. you will however still be able to backup and play your games with the hard drive that you have, but you will need hdloader or hd advanced. these two programs will alsom
    format the hd for you.
