HDD NOT recognized

here is my problem

modded v5 ps2 with ghost2; installed latest firmware 2.22rc4 + config manager 1.30 & set the hdd patching enabled.

when i connected hdd (working samsung 40gb 5400rpm: master settting) to the network adaptor (with a modem), it seemed like hdd is not spinning at all.

other hdd related software i tried install reported me that there was no hdd detected.

any ideas?

actually the hdd was recognized, but the fan was too loud to hear the hdd noise.

after formating with dms hdd format tool, hdd software detected hdd & worked with any problem
