hdd on new ps2

i had a ps2 and installed the sony hdd...now my ps2 broke and i gave it to my cousin...im thinking on buying a ps2 with dm3plus....now my question...when i buy this new ps2, will it accept the hdd eventho i installed the software on the other...i still got the cds and everything but will the hdd work on the new ps2...tnx.

You will need to format it and re-install everything but it will work on your new PS2.

I swapped one sony ps2 hdd through 4 consoles and all of them worked, and showed the new browser, so installing.

Strange, I thought consoles became identified with whatever machine ID they were formatted with. Or was that only with BBNAV? I forget.
