HDadvance problems

I have about 4 different copies of HDadvance and one of hdloader but none of them work. I put it in the PS2 and it says please load a PS2 disc. I burnt it with nero and alcohol120 but no such luck. I did mode 2 with 8+3 characters and so on but it never works. Am I doing something wrong or do you think I'm just getting bunk files? I guess I'll have to buy the darn thing. Oh ya, I have a v7 or v8. Does anyone have any suggestions because I've spent about 10 hours and I've gotten nowhere? Thanks

uhhh... do you have swap magic, mc exploit or a mod chip?

yeah...you know....like a way of booting cd-r on your ps2.....Many people claim you don't need to mod your ps2 to run cd-r but they're just lying...you need to mod it one way or another in order to run cd-r.....

Actually I burnt swap magic but that didn't get the PS2 to boot up. I don't have any mods. I just want to download games onto my PS2 hard drive and be able to play them. So do you think I have an incorrect version of swap magic? I think it's swap magic v3. I have v2 but I haven't burned it yet. Do you think that will do the trick? The kicker is that I would burn it on a cd-r which is the problem. Any more good info? Thanks

the whole point of using swap magic is that you used the pressed disc to boot the cd-r. You don't boot a cd-r with a cd-r...unless your name is Utopia, of course.

Yea, theres no point in having a burnt swap magic since you can't load it anyway.

cant u upgrade swap magic by booting with old SM and then putting in new SM

so if i buy swap magic i need the slid/flip tool? also, since I want to play from the hard drive i can now us my copy of hdadvance or hdloader? then if i want to download games and not have to burn them onto a cd or dvd i can use winhllp or faplink or the like and that should do it, right? thanks for the help everyone and let me know if i'm right about this

if your jsut looking for HD advance you can always jsut buy it, its chaper the then swap magic, you can buy HD Advance here

its your call, and yes if u dl games off the new you can send them straight tot he hd with faplink (keep in mind the hd must be formated to HD Advance)
