OK, I have a PS2 MP3 player (Sorry, I can't remember the name, but it's not ps2reality) on my MC, and it created a partition for storing my MP3s. It was only 128mb or something at the time, but I was wondering, how do I put MP3s onto the partition using something like HDLD_Server or another program. It doesn't seem to have an option for copying MP3s from a CD / DVD / USB Drive. Anyone have a PS2 program that lets me add items to partitions etc.?

HDLD_SVR and its close relatives are only capable of installing ISOs for HDL/HDA, so they cannot be used to copy normal files to a normal partition.

The best ways to do that are either by FTP, using ExecFTPs v0.69 on the PS2 and some FTP client on a PC, or by using some good filebrowser to copy files to the PS2 HDD from some other compatible media. For example: LaunchELF is very good at copying from CD discs or USB drives, while Altimit (when launched by PS2Link) is very good at copying from 'host:' (a virtual drive accessing PC folders via network).

There is a way to copy from cd/usb in the ps2 mp3player as I did it ages ago.
If you have the one from this thread I'm pretty sure you hit the square button, I think the select button brings up a screen showing what all the buttons do.

This is true, but that copying method is rather limited, in that the browser of PS2MP3 can only see one file type at a time, and is limited to handling either MP3 or M3U files. There is no way to copy anything else, or to copy files of both those types in one go.

Personally I think it better to install a good generic file browser, such as LaunchELF, and then use that for nearly all copying (except for some special cases).

I have execftp, but it doesn't handle HDAdvance partitions yet . I'll try LaunchELF. Thanks for your help, I'll have some phat tunes on my PS2 tonight! (Imagine, I pay hundreds to get one of the most popular consoles on the market, only to launch homebrew apps )

If you are trying to add music into a game partition then that is impossible.
execftps wont't do HDA partitions and neither will launchelf, or any other program for that matter. HDA partitions are for games and are a different format to the patitions used by PS2MP3, PGEN, and other homebrew apps. Launchelf will be able to access the MP3 partition, as does execftps (I used both frequently).
