HD wigging out –
01-16-2006,05:34 PM
i'm having weird problems with my hdd
when i boot it up on my ps2 it shows about 5 games which is a far cry from the 20 on there.
and when i plug my hdd into my pc via ide winhiip can't touch it.
"There has been a problem writing to the hard disc drive!"
but when i "scan/repair my ps2 hd" under the utilities.
it shows my full game list with a couple x's under certain games.
how can i repair/remove these games?
help please.

Did you originally use HDLdumb to setup or send games to this HD? This happens sometimes when you switch between winhiip and hdldumb (you should pick one and stick with it exclusively). If this is the case try going back to HDLdumb to recover the isos.
If this isn't the case try extracting the isos to your PC HD and then bring them back with the winhiip extract button. I'm not sure how well this works... I think this normally ends with tears.

yea i use winhiip exclusively.
the thing was that i couldn't extract my isos because when i chose my ps2 drive i got an error.
but i just restart from scratch again.
