HD on modded and non modded ps2 –

Hello everyone
i have 2 ps2 machines both v4 1 modded 1 not
the one with the mod the chip aint worth a fart it wont load a damn thing
it used to
but not anymore
so idecided to try hd loader
i cant get it cuz my broadband is down in the neighborhood
so i used independance compiler and made about 8 frizbeez
it seems like it wants to work
a few of the disks i made with independence compiler got recognised in the browser but wont load
am i supposed to see somthing other than a black screen?
i put in the ps1 disk i listed in the title.db but either the screen stays black forever or it just loads the ps1 game
so i dunno
is there specific files im supposed to and/or not supposed to use?
is there a way to send the files over a network to the mc and get the hd recognized?
right now the hdd is set to master, is that right?
i dloaded hdl dump but it looks to just tranfer files to the hd and not the mc
lol
thx

all i do is burn a cd with the independence mc installer and specific files i want to run from my mc. then i boot this disc via the swap method and it installs the files to my mc. then i put in a ps1 disc that i've specified in my title.db file and never take it out of the drive.
just reboot and it'll go to whatever BOOT.ELF file you specify to boot from your mc.
if i had a thumb and evo max it'd be even simpler to install. but cdr's are cheap
