    Hi to all,

    I am new here.
Just got hd loader yesterday, but it is not working good.
tried 2 disks (maxtor 120 gb, seagate 80 gb)
the problem is, it start up good when i format the drive, i can load hd loader and install and play a game, but when i turn off the ps 2, it will not start up again i hear the cd spinning than i hear the access to the hd, then the message that it cannot read from cd.
i tried everything ( i think)and the only thing that works ( 2 out of 10) is i leave the cd tray open, power off cd ps2 reboot so it closes the tray, and then sometimes it works
My 8 year son is not too happy bout that ( giving me headache).
    Is there a solution ????

    Thanks

Maybe your ps2 is old and the laser is near to death, maybe you burned a bad cd with hdloader, maybe your original HDloader cd is damaged or striped or maybe blablabla....

There is a lot of solutions..and..possibilities..
    Sorry for my bad english

If you are using the original HDLoader you must leave the CD inside the tray in order to authenticate. Let us know which HDLoader method you are using (Original, Shrinked Burned, Exploit Unpacked) and we may help you better.

I think he is talking about the red screen of death when booting Ps2 first..
Disable your modchip to try..if you have one, or try with another original Ps2 games if it load normally

seems most ps2s hate reading cd discs..which is what the original hd loader is.

it just spins it an eventually it might even scratch the disc....its happenin to me.

im thinkin maybe d_skin or somethin will at least stop it from scratchin the disc an maybe also help the ps2 grip the cd instead of just spinning it.

    i hate this...
