Hello all I have a ps2 with free mc boot installed no mod chip and I have HD Loader 0.8c elf file on my usb flash drive. I have just installed a 300gb Maxtor ATA-133 drive and I formatted it with 48-bit HD Loader but the thing that seems to happen is I get to the HD Loader 0.8 screen and it just sits there what exactly do I need to do to solve this problem. Any help that can be given would be appreciated.

-Look at your Jumper-Setting (normally on the backside of your HDD) and set it to 'Master' (if that doesn't work, you can try others like 'Cable Select', but this works/helps only in a very few cases...)
-Try other programms, which can access the HDD (OPL, SMS, uLE,...).
    -Try another HDD.
-Try to re-format it to any PC-Partitioning&Filesystem and let a PS2-Application format it... (for example uLE)

Btw.: HDL is closed-source and by far not as feature-rich as 'OPL'/'Open PS2 Loader'.

I have to say this is interesting it took a little longer to load but I reset the jumper to cable select and it finally came up so I am happy now.
