HD Loader does not play game

okay i tried using search and came didn't find an answer. i have the ps2ownz version of HD Loader program. i used the swap method to boot up the HDL and then installed my legitimate Gran Turismo 3 game. it installed sucessfully and then i tried to play the game and it just goes to a black screen. is there anything that i need to do to get it to work with this version of HDL?

ok did some more testing and i dunno what it is but i installed the MC exploit and the games booted fine. i have a v4 ps2 and no solder modchip which i use gameshark v2 to boot games. the games that i installed yesterday all boot. if anyone is having the same problem as me try using the mc exploit as an alternative. in order to boot the installation disk for the exploit i used gameshark cd then swapped with the cd loader disk (i think its also the same as swap magic cd). then loaded the exploit disc and removed the dongle from the ps2. the exploit install perfect.

thankyou.....this forum is awesome! i did a search for my question and this could be the answer....my question is, why will my hdl boot up with game shark 1.9, but not play games?.....im getting the black screen too. i will try the memory card exploit. thank you!

What you are saying is, that I must boot the hdl from the mc?
Cause now I'm using the original hdloader, mayby that the problem is in there.

If yes, wich hdloader must I use, because I say that there are different versions if I'm wright.

i am currently getting the mc exploit loaded on to the mc.....that is causing some problems, but hopefully soon all will be resolved!

update....works great via mc exploit. you gotta use the exploit....not only does it make swapping unneccesary, it also makes the game actually run properly. just follow a tutorial somewhere are you will be set.
by the way, i loaded the mc exploit disc with gameshark 1.9 without cogswap or cdloader, so you may or may not have the same luck. lots of people with swap chips have had trouble getting the mc xploit disc to load. my megamemory manager disc didnt load it (which i use for swap, too, as it is dongleless!)

Things became more and more difficult for me...
As I told you that we have the same problem, know I instal hot shot golf fore for fun (because I read that the game wasn't working from hd) and it starts playing...
But during the intro it freeze...

But it is more than all the others game did so far.

Could it really be the problem that I use the original hdloader?

HOt Shots Golf 4's streaming .IRX file conflicts with HDLOADER on all compatability settings, and it's a DNAS game anyway.
