I got a fried V9 PS2 (doesn't read anything now, think 5-6 games hdloader reads + bad quality DVDs, anr31 mediacode IIRC . One had +45% unreadable sectors! ) from a friend to test new things. One of the possibility was to put a DMS3 with HDloader on memcard. So I put one in it, while using my own PS2 (a V3+Messiah2) to install the DMS explorer on the MC.

1st try, boot in devmode (/\ on boot) on the V9 with the explorer installed on the MC. Success!

But now, how to continue? how can I install the HDL on the MC?

On a side note, the DMS3 was picky as hell on another V9, would boot past the "playstation2" logo 1 time out of 3... And yes I alredy read about short and thick ground wire, no crosses, shieded D E etc..

if I remeber correctly there uis a version on eurasia that boots directly to hdloader. u know, hdloader installed instead of the expolrer program.

and u can use the winhiip to transfer your original games to HD via a pc using a usb-ide adpater.
