  1. #1 HD dump software reduces my hard drive size?

Why do all the HD dump software programs say my 160GB is only 39GB?
When I put the hard drive back into my PS2 it tells me it is 137?
I want to use my PC to transfer the games to my HD but it says the drive does not have enough space and I have 102gig left.

That is probably because of Windowz itself. Try right-clicking on My Computer icon and choosing Manage and then Disk Management. Next, be careful which option do you choose on the popup message box! Disk Management window is divided on two parts - volumes list and drives list. Locate your PS2 HDD in drives list and check its size there. If it is not the proper one try to switch it to another mode (like cable select) or fix it to master/slave.

Does your PC bios recognise the drive at its full capacity? IF not theres your problem.

do a little research on 48 bit enabled devices... your system must have 48 bit support (if your BIOS reads it properly, upgrade to SP2 - although SP1 may have it), and the PS2 software must be patched for 48 bit.. again.. do a search
