Thread: HD Advance 3.0 compatibility with Maxtor 6A200V0

  1. #1 Maxtor 6A200V0 and HD Advance 3.0 hanging issues
    zerilos Guest
Hard drive: 200 GB Maxtor model # 6A200V0
    PS2 is SCPH-30001

When I load up both CD and DVD version of HD Advance 3.0, it hangs on the loading screen, and this is while the jumpers are set to cable select or master. Under slave, I actually get an error message regarding the hard drive's compatibility, so I don't think it's a problem with the network adaptor or the PS2 detecting the hard drive.

I've formatted it using winhiip 48 bit, and it continues the above symptom.
I also checked the HD compatibility list, and my hard drive is compatible. Any advice?

Check the HD Advance disc first. Is there any scratch? If not, then you could try:

    1. Change to another HDD. If it works, the old HDD might has some problem. If it doesn't, I guess your network adapter is not working correctly.
    2. If you don't have another HDD to test. Try your HDD with a friend's PS2.

You can also check on the list to see if your drive is supported.
