So I installed 6 or 7 various ISO's using WinHiip and they all worked just fine, no problems whatsoever. Then I got another ISO, James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing. I installed it just like the others, Mode 3 like the list says, and when I put the HDD back in the console and boot up HDLoader, it says that the hard drive needs to be formatted. It also said once that the PS2 didn't recognize the hard drive. I battled with it for a little bit, removed the ISO and now it works fine as it did before. What could the problem be, is the ISO bad?

I'm using HDLoader 0.8c, I think. It's the most recent one packaged in the FMCB noobie package.

well it could be many reasons

but why don't you use OPL 0.8 instead of HDL you will get out of most of problems and also more compatibility games

I can guarantee the problem here is a bad connection between the adaptor and the ps2 itself.

Remove and re-insert the adapter repeatedly until it decides to cooperate, then stick with network installs. It's simply not designed to be repeatedly removed and re-inserted.
