hacked hd loader boot issues

hey guys , i obtained a hacked copy of hdloader from a buddy of mine that apparently has new features not in the original version anyways, i have an unmodded box and was just trying to test the software , i burned it because it was an ISO but i know that ps2 doesnt like to read burned media withou a modchip, i heard from someone there is a version out there that can direct boot without any flip lid or anything like that, is this true, what am i going to have to do to get this software to boot, like i said i have no modchip, and i have a cracked .ISO of hdloader and also a cracked .iso of swap magic but i dont know if this does me any good, any help would be awesome, thanks

Options are:

Get a Modchip
Get Swap Magic (Legit and the Flip Top stuff)
Knife Trick (Don't ask me, I don't know how nor do I want to actually do it to my system)
Get someone to install HDL on a MC via MC Exploit and use a PS1 as a trigger disk

What version ps2 do you have?
