I cannot get Gungrave overdose to load in HD Loader. Fat mikes compatability guide says enable mode 1. I tried this and the game goes black at the title screen.

Has anyone had any luck with this game

I have a V9 console. I have HD Loader on my memory card, DMS3+ mod chip. I don't have any of the timestamp patches, but I have the LBA 48 and no disc seek patch.

    Thanks for the help

I believe you can only load previously saved games. I don't think starting a new game will work.

By any chance, how fast are your hard drives because mine is a 5400RPM Maxtor and GunGrave works great for me. I installed GunGrave on my friends hard drive and he has 7200RPM Maxtor and everything was messing up and there was no sound

if that was the case then using Mode 1 like bowerst3 said makes sense since it enables slower hd access.

I have tried that and it still does not work. When I enable mode1, everything works (sound, etc.) but when I play through stage 1 and finish it, it freezes right after I finish.

I think the best way is to play this on a 5400RPM hard drive not a 7200RPM hard drive.
