  1. #1 GTA: San Andreas - does it work with HDA?
    JammaNET Guest
Was wondering if the game works with HDL\HDA. My PS2 has the crappy Disc Error problems with most DVD games, except with my HDA disc. I won't use the game normally through the DVD drive, I will only use games with my HDD. So, have any of you tried it yet? Please give some input on this topic. THANX - JAMMANET

    ----------
please do not discuss warez here.. this is obviously warez, because the game is not officially released until tuesday.. although the majority of you probably use illegal games, please dont brag about it here, no one is impressed. we dont want the website to get in trouble or attract unneeded attention because of that. everyone likes this place because its a very valuable resource for playstation 2 knowledge.

any further infractions will be met with severe consequences.. please refrain from doing so.. or take it to IRC, or wait til the game is actually released.

this is a 1st warning from me to everyone in the HDD section.

    thanks

You ever heard of WINHIIP or HDL_DUMP? He even mentions he's using it in his signature. Just Relax.

JammaNet, yes the game works on HD without any modes enabled.

    Thanx for the replies.

After I made the post, I started looking around on other sites, apparently the game is DVD5, not DVD9 as previously planned... I wonder what the deal was with that?

I guess I should take my time with these posts and do the research first.... sorry. I guess that 12 hour marathon of Halo did something to me...

well, the rumour is that the size is so close to a dvd5 that they just downsampled some stuff and bingo it fit... but honestly, this game, is one that even i will be buying.

yes you heard it. some stuff is worth buying and some stuff is worth renting, and there is some stuff that they should pay us to play... or atleast pay us for wasting our time...

The publishers could have been out off by the higher failure rate of dvd9's on older ps2's.

    Yes it works. Its a DVD5 of 4 499 767 296 bytes.

Works with HDLoader, you don't have to enable any mode.
