Growlanser generation save problems..

Is it just me or when you try to save with hd loader in growlanser 1 the game freezes? I didn't try with 2 though... If there really is a problem with the game I think this should be easily patchable... I just don't know how lol. Could anyone help?

you might try hdloader with the 4 different date/timestamp patches.. D0, D1, D2, & D3.

i've got my exploit setup with keylauncher is as the BOOT.ELF, and the 4 hdloader elfs.. you have to use basic skins, nothing really fancy, or it will eat up your MC space.. unless you have them on a partition on the hdd.

Hmm, I would but I don't have a modded ps2 nor do I have a router so I can't really put the exploit on my memory card

Same problem here the game just freeze when I try to save (same for both Growlanser II and III) I have the original HDAdvance v1.0 and my ps2 isn't modded.

How did you load the image onto your hard drive? What program did you use, if you used one?

I used the latest winhiip. I downloaded the game and it came out as a .bin and .cue. WinHIIP wouldn't recognize them so I had to convert them to a .iso with ultra iso then burned them to the hdd..

Well I just tried this game out myself and it works flawlessly. Im playing it right now. I also saved a couple of time with no problems or freezing. Something might be wrong on your end. I used Magic ISO to convert the bin/cue to iso format. I dont know if this makes a difference but it's worth a try. Then I installed the game using WinHIIP 1.6.5

what model is ur ps2 and is there anything different w/ the hdloader u used?

the game keeps freezing when i try to save at the first opportunity i get in that tutorial battle right at the beginning of growlanser 2.

Its V7. I am using the hdloader exploit on my memory card (unpatched so theres a 127 gig limit). And yes, I saved at the tutorial at the start of the game no problem. Maybe its which program you use to convert the image to ISO.

Hmm, my ps2 is a v4 here maybe I will try to re-dl again...
