Gameshark and the HDloader...

How would one go about using a Gameshark with a game installed on his/her harddrive?
I mean, without actually using the game disc.

I haven't tried it, but I was just thinkin' about it and I'm curious.

I believe it says in the HDLoader faq that this is impossible. I supose in theory you could boot the gameshark cd off of your hdd but the game you wanted to cheat on would have to be an original in the dvd drive, don't know never tried. But since the game shark cd forces you to boot the game from the disk drive it would be impossible.

Now can you put in a GS or AR disc, select your cheats, then put in the HDLoader disc and pick the selected game?

I don't think that would work because a GS or AR changes values at spicific adresses. So It would be changing the values of adresses in the hdloader program so you may temporarily effect the ability to load a game or worse like changing the play selection to the delete selection, probably not but it could happen. Nothing to bad though if I had my AR dongle I would try since I only have a 13 gig hdd right now and plan on getting a bigger one. But its probably a safe bet that it wont work.

It works fine for me. I'm using Gameshark Version 4 (dunno about old version). However AR and Codebreaker aren't compatible.

load off HD and then original?
cuz i tried xploder 4 but would not load.

I mean using gameshark with Hdloader enabling cheat on game. Some say that it's not compatible but it seems GS is friendly to hdloader

not like AR n CB they just hate hdloader.

Old versions of GS are just AR rebadged so probably wont work.

can't understand, do the normal way: use GS or AR to load cheat for a game, and save the game with cheat on mc, next load the game with hdloader, the game will load the previous save on mc, is this feasible?
