In Game Reset

When i was playing the MGS3 demo i saw a sreen wich says : " to exit game: L1+L2+R1+R2+select+start".
If you press this its loading the main screen (SCE_DD.ELF i
think ?) I opened the MGS3.ELF an found this text string:
cdrom0:\SCE_DD\SCE_DD.ELF;1 perhaps this command line is executed when pressing the combination above ?.
I am no coder, but if someone could figure out how it
exacty works, we could build a loader (or modify e.g. the
MSG3 demo or cdloader wich can load up different elf files,until now used for multigame-DVDs)put in some games and create an iso to load from hdloader.So it would be possible to switch between our favourite games without always resetting the ps2.

its just an idea but everyone was talking about modifying
hdloader, perhaps it works this way ?

what happens when you do that combination? does it reset the ps2? go to the browser?

it resets he ps2..its like that with most demo cd's

hmm,that would be interesting.... i always wished there was a remote that you could use to reset/turn off or a key combination like this and like you can do in most emulators

A remote for resetting the PS2 would be cool, because I hate resetting 100x if I read a CDRW in my good old PS2.

I recently bought my ps2 PAL SCPH50002ess and included as most of you know is a demo disc, on this demo it is much like his, but i found it wierd;

4 demo games HAVE to be reset, you get that dreaded little message beforehand.
3 demo games have an exit option, which simply boot back too the demo menu.

I always thought it was impossible too get back too the menu after another ELF had been booted, unfortunently my ps2 is not modded so i can't look at the .cnf files, but i'm sure someone has a demo disc that can do this, and can view the contents of it. I'm sure if someone found out how, i could see the mecca of patches for HDLoader comming out, but the patch would likely have too be applied to the game iso, not HDLoader, since if the demo was handling the boot-back-too-demo actions, it would work with any demo.

uh, you can just put the PS2 disc in your PC and view the files..
