FTPing To My PS2 HDD –
Hey guyz, new to these forums, looks like a nice place.
Can you help me out please, I've just installed a ***4 Pro and have installed several tools onto the hdd. Including the FTP Server etc... I'm trying to find out whats the easiest way to FTP games to my ps2 hdd. I have hdl_dump.exe which appears to have the FTP function but I can't get it to connect. Anyone help me out please guyz ??
I'm using a crossover lead connected directly from my pc nic to my ps2 nic. pc IP = 192.168.0.1 and ps2 IP = 192.168.0.10 both masks are 255.255.255.0
Should this work , or am I missing something ???
You need HDLD_SRV.ELF running on the PS2 side and a proper IPCONFIG.DAT. Check the documentation and/or search threads here for more details I don't remember off the top of my head.
don't think " pc IP = 192.168.0.1 and ps2 IP = 192.168.0.10 " will work that is the same IP..use something like "pc 192.168.1.1 ps2 192.168.1.102 or 101" but I could be wrong because your using a crossover cable not sure if that matters or not.
hdl_dump.exe & HDLD_SRV.ELF aren't for ftp, they are to copy games to your hdd for use with HDLoader.
For ftp you can use ExecFTPd (PS2) with FTP Voyager (PC).
Well he said "FTP games" so I gave some info about HDLDump.
ftping sucks 2megs/s transfer compaired to 50 meg/s on your ide
Sorry my bad
