well just get hdl dump to transfer games either iso or dvd/cd into ur hdd though network
Hdl_dump is really the best way to transfer by ftp.
It can be found directly here on ps2-scene.
Just start the server on your PS2 and the client on your PC. There is a client-software included but you can also use other software like the hdl_dump GUI

I use HDL_Dumb 0.85 - it has an easy to use Front End, and HDLD_SVR.ELF on the PS2. Gives me transfer speeds of 2Mb/s. Haven't tried HDL_Dump yet though...

I dont mean to beg but can someone point me in the direction of a premade iso for teh ps2 version of HDL-dump or something that will also work?
SATA harddrives don't work on the ps2.Quote:

Another question. Is it possible to format the HDD thru HDL-Dump?
As far as I know, there is no function to format in hdl_dump.
The first time you start HD Loader it formats your harddisk, so it's not really necessary to do it with hdl_dump. A good software to use to format your harddisk is the DMS HD Format utility- it can also create partitions. Maybe usefull if you want to create a seperate one for music and so on...

nah I just wanted to update my HDL to 8b. anyone know where I can get a premade installing elf iso or a disk of apz that includes a client for that ps2? Also is it possiblle to use an FTP with a telephone line? cuz well my other downloads suck if I use wireless.:(
I think the "initialize" command is used to format the HD.Quote:

Prepares a HDD for HD Loader usage. All information on the HDD will be lost.
