How long should it take to format a drive with hdloader.? As I started to format mine around 1am and it is now 3pm .... is it normal to take that long? The drive was not new so it has been used and has been filled with shit. But everything was deleted b4 I tried to format it. Thanks
it took me about 6-7 seconds, but it was a brand new drive. it definetly shouldnt take that long though.
Would anything happen if i turn my ps2 off while it says its still formating?
Mine literally took 6-7 seconds as well.
It is problably hitting some bad sectors and retrying it over and over basically stalling the install. I would recommend either trying another drive or low level formatting it through a pc then retrying it.
wow...dats more than 12 hours...i would i turn off my ps2 and tried it again after a hour or so...hmm....yeah try wut kaioshade told u to do...format on PC...or u can dl DMS HDD Format tool and use that...
yhea thats not normal... when it formats should only take seconds
Well im ussing a wd120... i modified the NA so i could use it and hdloader does reconize the drive.... but is it just not possible for it to format a WD. I did do a low-lev format ussing Partition Magic and i just put in the drive and tryd formatting it w/ hdloader... its been going for a couple of min... doesnt look like its ganna work.... any other suggestions?
ummm...isnt it tru that wester digital hard drive doesnt work wit hd loader...
the molex connector doesnt line up but you can make it work. otherwise it does work.
