few questions about Winhiip's 'copy to drive'
Ok... my last day is quickly developping into another winhiip horror story and that is in part due to the lack of instructions found for it.
Question #1, please put the following steps in the right order if you wish to succesfully use the 'copy to drive' feature. And BTW.. can someone answer if the 'copy to drive' copies only IMAGES or if it also copies hdloader partitions and other partitions that are not game images <-- this would help a lot to know this.
Put these in the correct order (note some steps may not be neccessary at all) :
#1 Hit 'copy to drive' button and sit back and be hopeful
#2 Format Hard Drive with HDLOADER in PS2
#3 Click on 'Ps2 format' in Winhiip and use default sizes for partitions.
#4 Format HD by clicking 'erase drive' in Winhiip.
The true question is... what does 'copy to drive' do exactly? Does it ghost the #1 HD to the #2 HD ? Does it move game images only ? Does it matter if you have paritions on HD #1 that winhiip doesn't like.. will those then cause a problem on HD #2 ?
And please.. another question. Let's say I eventually get all the game images moved from HD #1 to HD #2 and that it works. What if then I want to create a new partition for my PGEN roms? or for my ELFs I want to run directly off the HD ? What program/elf do you recommend I use that winhiip will not throw a fit about? Will I be able to make a partition after or is the only way to do this to make a partition immadiately after formatting by clicking on the 'ps2 format' button ?
