    i found this on this thread:

    change in "hdl_dump.conf"

    "udp_delay_time" = "4"
    "udp_quick_packets" = "15"

    enjoy
    and also found this in this thread:

    "last_ip" = "62.65.30.10"
    "limit_to_28bit" = "no"
    "partition_naming" = "toxicos"
    "target_kbps" = "2350"
    "udp_delay_time" = "1000"
    "udp_quick_packets" = "7"
    "use_compression" = "yes"
    Perhaps yours say: "limit_to_28bit" = "yes" ???

    which of the two settings for "udp_quick_packets" and "udp_delay_time" would give me a faster speed for network transfer? also, should i use compression?

    0.8.4 doesn't use any of those settings but a "target bitrate" setting.
    See the README files from the 0.8.4 release. (rename to README.txt if needed)

    yeah well, you can put as many options in the .conf file as you want, if HDL_dump.exe or Dumb doesn't read them (0.8.4), what's the point :P

    the people on the threads on the links above are saying that they have these options and that these options are making 0.8.4 faster. if these options make 0.8.4 faster, then it probably means that hdl_dump can read them

    what about the "use_compression" option? i remember the older versions having this option.

    hmm in what language can you understand that 0.8.4 does't use those settings you pasted except "target_kbps" :P
    Try and see for yourself.
    Use compression is not used either in 8.4

    i think the speed tweak posted here, was a tweak for older version. i dont know if the tweak already included on the latest hdldump.. ididnt have chance to check my ps2 is broken so transferring games at my hd is useless...
