For those of you who have used faplink, you will know the current method of searching for the ps2 signature is less than adequate. I have coded a new algorithm to search for the signature name of a PS2 game in ISO format (not BIN!) with the great help of bowman on IRC.
I would like people to test this app and post their findings here. If it does not work, post the console output, the System.cnf file from the ISO and a FileList.txt from ISOBuster (or the LBA address of the system.cnf file).
Remember This Does Not work with BIN/CUE files, only in ISO Format.
All of the following iso's work fine for me with your program, they were made using RecordNow Max 5 (just in case you want to Know). The images with .gi extension also works fine.
Athens 2004: The Olympic Games
Summer Heat Beach Volleyball.gi
Driv3r
Fight Night 2004
MOH Rising Sun
MVP 2004
Red Dead Revolver
Reel Fishing.gi
Spiderman 2
Syphon Filter (11).gi
ESPN International Track and Field
XIII
With hotshots golf fore I got the error:
getsig.exe has encountered a proplem and needs to close:
super long error report that I cant copy and paste
(edit mrmosquito and hsg4 were both made with apache2, not sure how culdcept was made)
btw, when I try to transfer culdcept with faplink .87.1 it freezes at exactly 50% through the transfer. tried twice, forze at the exact same spot, down to the bit, both times.
I always find it odd that no one here ever mentione the free app DVD Decryptor for making ISO's. http://www.dvddecrypter.com/ It works fine on PS2 games.
Oh yea on the code no problems so far.. havent checked my entire collection yet.
hey, btw last night I sucsessfully transfered that culdcept iso that faplink would not get past 50% with PS2 HDD Utility 1.8 (gui for hdldump), so if seems that faplink has a bug.
