Faplink .87 is PAL??

i tried running the new version off the mc and the screen is in pal. the screen is scrolling like crazy. is there an ntsc version of it?

Yes it is, and no there's no NTSC version yet. Just press X and the server will start.

yeah but the problem is its not reading my IPCONFIG.DAT. i have it in mc0:FAPLINK\ and it doesn't read it.

Yeah, you have to config it... but you can't see anything cause it's PAL. So yeah, you're screwed there. Wait for the NTSC or know anyone using who has PAL that can help you out by giving you control instructions.

I had same problem, when at the scrolling screen, press X and it will bypass that and u will be able to read it. However, i tried putting a game on there, and it didnt work, mabye it was just bad luck with me

I had the same problem ....

but if you stare at the screen you can make out the commands .... might give you little bit of a headache but I was able to do it ...

I believe L1 will change your feilds between, IP to subnet to gateway

Up and down will change your values in that

and x will start the server ....

anyway ... I know that it does not save the net config to the the IPCONFIG.DAT file if you load the faplink.elf using ps2menu ..... Im going to try to install ps2os, and run faplink from there to see if it addresses this problem.

I dont really care about the pal thing, as long as it loads my correct net config, I can just hit x on the rolling screen.

Is there anyway to extract images off of your PS2 HDD, back onto your PC HD, using faplink, or are we stuck with HDL DUMPv6.0 there?? I really like your GUI for faplink, and dont want to fool with CMD on HDL DUMP...

also is there anyway to run this app from the HD. I tried making an ISO file of faplink.elf and loading it with HDloader but all I get is a black screen. I was able to run Exectftps in this manner by injecting it into an ISO, and ran it from HD loader (this is how I got the MC exploit working, cause I have no mod chip nor swap trick)

I am 'The' Coder for Faplink. I think it wont run properly from HDLoader, and the only ways we have succesfully booted faplink server is from: exploit, keylauncher, cdrom or ps2link. It failed to boot from ps2menu and the rest are untested.
