When i formatted my 250gb maxtor using hdloader off the MC it gave me an error saying FATAL ERROR - Failed to format hard drive. However I ignored it and everything worked normal. I installed two games and everything works fine. However I think a sector or something may be corrupt? Whenever i use ps2-menu, it freezes if i try to skip partitions to one that isn't made my hdloader. If i try to upload something into the hdd through FTP my ps2 would freeze and it wouldn't upload.

Perhaps it was because I didn't use the LBA48 patch?

edit: okay so i won't be able to use the DMS tool and I won't be able to find an unpacked hdloader. any advice on what i should do?
