hi what im trying to do is have my ps2 nic plugged in but i also wish to connect my hd but i dont weant to leave it inside the ps2 i want it to be external so i can connect to my pc aswell i wanted to kno what kind of ide and power molex i would have to use

There's no solution for what you are asking for. What you can do, though, is get an external USB enclosure for your PC. You can have easy plug-and-play installation/removal of the HDD to the PC. That's the best you can do... and actually, that is better anyway. YOu don't really want to leave an internal HDD sitting on a desk uncovered while in use.

well i have a case for it and i can use it through usb but i dont to be taking it out the ps2 everytime if i could connect an ide cable to the back of the ps2 network adaptor with a power molex wouldnt i be able to connect the ps2 that way??

It will not connect to the PS2 externally. This has been discussed in depth several times over, and you could have easily discovered this had you spent 2 minutes to use the damn search engine. Read the rules to the forum.
