Ok I've now used AIO 2.4 to patch HDL elf. I noticed using this that my so called unpatched elf didn't pass the checksum in AIO. So I've found another version of the elf that AIO confirms is original HDLOADER.ELF, repatched with AIO, applied the IPS using lips AND reinstalled PAL GT4 ISO via the network and 2.5hrs later......
...it does exactly the same
Get GT4 credits then nothing.
Guess I'll have to bite the bullet tomorrow and move the HDD into my PC. Will report back the results.

Added revised patch on first page, xenosaga works now. Also I tested with fresh copy of hdloader and it worked fine, if it doesn't work try the same.

The last game installed was GT4 PAL with HDL_DUMP provided by CrazyC.
I´ll see if I´ve already uninstalled it.
>>> EDIT <<<
Yes, I´ve uninstalled it.
But I´ve used Sony Tools and nothing happened either.

I have already patched an elf, but in case that doesn't work, I need some clarification of a couple of things.
1. Does the elf need to unpacked when I apply the patch?
I noticed that the file size of the packed version changes, but not the unpacked one.
2. Do I need the original hdloader elf? Or will any clean hdloader work fine?

My GT4 and GoW are working perfectly. Only problem I have found is that the GT4 network drivers won't load.
I used the original HDLoader elf - unpacked and then patched with zero-x's patches THEN this DL-patch - I then repacked it and installed the games using crazyc's hdl_dump from the unchanged dvd-decrypter images. Whew! Long process.
What "if anything" can be done to fix the lan driver problems on GT4?

Yes, and decrypted too.

Any clean one should work, most patches should be fine as long as they are applied before. Toxic core will not work.

Try the new patch.

The error message when I´m trying to install substance is this:
"APA partition is broken; aborting"
Any Clues?
