    I booted this up on my ps2 and it comes up and says can't find "CONFIG.DAT". Where do i get this and what do i do?

    if execftps doesn't find the config.dat it will typically assign your ps2 an IP address of 192.168.0.10 (as shown on the screen).

    your PC will need to match this subnet in order to connect. you can learn more by searching for execftps references on this site. one such thread can be found here:

    I got the thing to start and I can cconnect, but I only see three folders "hd", "mc", and "stp" (i think). I can't see any files though.

    yea execftps has a problem with MC that has exactly 21 files in the root directory. just delete something and try it out again. last one should be "pfs" btw not stp.
