i'm having the same exact problem!
out of the 50+ times i've tried connecting, norton eventually popped a lil window up saying that it was blocking "Trojan like access" from FlashFxp.exe..
since u can't kill it while it's running, i'm going to try and tell it to not start any NAV services.. see how it works
Please PM me or AIM me if you find a solution. I am also running NAV, but it's just the Antivirus. I've tried using WSFTP and FlashFXP, and DOS Ftp. Heck, IM me if you want to try to put our heads together. This is making me mad LOL.Quote:

I know it's talking to the PS2 because I can see the PS2 lines coming back. If anybody has any tips, please let me know.
I have a simmilar problem when trying to connect sometimes to my ps2 while running execftps. The only thing I've found that will fix it is if I just keep disconnecting and reconnecting, sometimes more than 20 times. I have no idea what causes it, or why that works for me, becuase it never works the same way twice. I too would still like to see a fix for this, it's really annoying having to reconnect over and over again.
well, here's my progress:
I've completely eliminated NAV05.. i tried from a computer that doesn't even have antivirus (it's one i'm still building), and from a linux box... no luck..
I've tried from both HDLoader, and from a CDRom.. same results...
I'm confused..
@entmike - sure, let's chat on AIM
i'm also in the IRC chan all the time: EFNET #ps2-scene
I noticed that when i set the atad patch on, i cannot see the structure...but turning off it works normal from flashfxp.

I remember that FlashFXP did the same thing and just freeze up. first thing TURN OFF PASSIVE MODE (no offence intended) in options/preference, this causes it to freeze or allows you to browse but not transfer anything.
Let me know how you get on.
Irefan.
I am having similar problems with flashfxp, but leapftp seems to work 100% to link to the ps2, another thing that seemed to solve almost all my lockup problems was switching to loading execftp with inlink/ps2link from http://ps2dev.org/

"There is a known bug in ExecFTPs, which makes it 'blind' to MC directories containing exactly 20 or 21 objects. If you increase the number of objects to 22 or decrease them to less than 20 then the directory should again become visible for ExecFTPs. At least that is how it works for the root directory, and I think it works the same way for subfolders too."
The 20 file bug doesn't cause freezes though, it just prevents the directory from being displayed.
one thing that may help..
in flashfxp, when you connect, set the remote path as \ or maybe its /
its one of those 2, try refreshing the directory, or making a temporary directory.
