Dark:
ExecFTPs can sometimes lock up, but if it happens EVERY time, then something else is causing the problem. Possibly the file you saved earlier got stored in a damaged form, so that the routines attempting to access it are locking up, because of this damage. (Probably damage to directory structure rather than the file itself.)
You can of course also try to erase it by using other tools loaded to your MC, such as PS2OS or PS2Menu/PS2MenuK. But if the file (and thus that partition) really is damaged this way, then it may even be impossible to simply erase the file.
If that is the case then I'm afraid that the only safe way to get rid of it is to remove that partition, for which you can use the HDDFormat tool made by DMS.

just i installed for __boot partition...
how delete it ???

Did you patch the boot.elf to correct the "/" or "\" issue first? Things become much easier after that.
I couldn't overwrite the files on my mc neither, so always remove the one already on mc before transfer the new one. Also remember to press the reflash button on mc side window after each transfer. Everything should be ok then.
what Boot.elf patching ???
i want cleaning my __boot partition, how i do it ??
